xx coin announcement: Live stream of Consensus reveal on Praxxis twitter feed tomorrow!
xx network, Praxxis Consensus technical details revealed Friday, November 22nd in a livestream from the Amsterdam Science Park Congress Center at 4:25 p.m. (GMT+1).
By xx network, November 21, 2019.
At the Amsterdam Science Park Congress Center as part of the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica Annual Lectures on Programming and Cryptology, David will give a 45-minute talk reviewing, for the first time, the Praxxis Consensus Protocol which will underpin the xx network. This lecture is part of a two-day event which also features David being honored with the Dijkstra Fellowship.
David will share details on critical components of the Protocol, including:
1. The quantum-secure, trustless initialization of the xx network based on establishing a secure random seed and authenticated channels between all nodes;
2. The unmanipulatable and unpredictable selection of a random block producing node to lead each round of consensus.
3. The execution of a scalable, optimistic consensus decision by sampling a constant-sized subset of the network to verify and endorse each block.
He'll also review the xx network's support of the Elixxir metadata-shredding mix and the ability of the network to provide a protected digital sphere where people can share ideas, sell products and services and exchange value in a secure and private manner.
The Lectures are part of a series to share academic findings with a larger public. The program committee is led by Professor Ronald Cramer (CWI, Leiden University) and Professor Dick Bulterman (CWI, VU Amsterdam).
